Our Partners

Our strategic partners are government departments and other not for profit bodies whose work includes activity in or aligned to the enterprise support sector.

We hold valuable strategic relationships with a small number of partners within government and sector related organisations that operate within the enterprise and entrepreneurship environment. We provide consultation on enterprise support sector issues and opportunities and ultimately build stronger links and alliances for our network.

Is your organisation a potential NEN Strategic Partner?
We are very keen to work strategically with other enterprise related bodies and initiatives. Please give us a call on 01908 605130 or email memberservices@nationalenterprisenetwork.org.

Acas

The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service provides free and impartial information and advice to employers and employees on all aspects of workplace relations and employment law.

British Business Bank

We are one of a number of organisations who have contributed as a partner to the new Business Finance Guide – a journey from startup to growth. The guide sets out the main things to consider and outlines sources of finance available to businesses – ranging from start-ups to SMEs and growing mid-sized companies.

Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy

Our relationship with this department is valuable and long standing and the Network is asked to comment on and participate in a variety of enterprise related issues and activities, all with the focus on increasing economic growth.

Department for Communities & Local Government

We represent our members with regular department meetings, with discussions focussing on how enterprise can help communities and neighbourhoods grow and advising on activity surrounding local enterprise partnerships and enterprise zones to help the private sector grow.

Department of Work & Pensions

Our relationship with the department sees us offering advice and support for the department’s range of work initiatives that have an enterprise strand. We also represent our members by demonstrating how enterprise and entrepreneurship has a place in creating and increasing employment in today’s challenging climate.

ERSA

We share many common interests with the Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) – the trade body for organisations delivering or with an interest in employment related services – sometimes called welfare to work.

HMRC

Our relationship with the UK’s tax authority sees us supporting the department’s key enterprise related activities and cascading its messages to our membership and start up clients.

Responsible Finance

We hold a close relationship with the organisation which represents community development finance institutions (CDFIs) due to common interests and an overlap of mutual members. CDFIs provide loans and support to people who find it difficult to access finance from the commercial banks.

Rural Services Network

The Rural Services Network (RSN) represents the interests of rural service providers and their rural communities in England.

The Federation of Small Businesses

We are a partner in the Federation’s Real Life Entrepreneurs campaign which sees us supporting and commenting on this valuable initiative to encourage and highlight those that start and grow a business.
