Colbea Offers Subsidised Leadership Training to SMEs in Essex

Essex businesses are being given the opportunity to access up to £8,000 of funding to put towards improvement the management & leadership of their organisation, with the funding now extended past the end of the month.

NEN Member, the Colchester Business Enterprise Agency (Colbea) has teamed up with training provider The Lighthouse Group to help businesses gain access to the funding, available through The Apprenticeship Levy which was introduced by the Government in April 2017.

Business lenders give green light to school system

A new system that tracks children’s behaviour and their educational journey has been given the green light thanks to a £40k loan from the NEN member, Business Enterprise Fund.

Trackit Lights is an interactive behavioural management system, used by schools to display child behaviour using the traditional ‘traffic lights’ method; students are rated green for good behaviour, amber for a warning and red for low level behaviour.

New Colbea Sponsor to Offer Accounting Advice Surgery

Team NEN member, the Colchester Business Enterprise Agency (Colbea) has announced Essex accountants Jamesons as the latest business to sponsor the enterprise agency’s work in the Colchester business community.

As the first action of their sponsorship Jamesons, one of the region’s leading independent accountancy firms, will deliver an Accounting Advice Surgery for local businesses at the Central Colchester Business Centre on 5th June 2018.
