Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce has been chosen by the Department for Education to be a part of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIPs) across the country.
The Chambers will work with employers and employer representative groups, to identify the local needs and work on solutions to address them across key sectors.
There is universal agreement that only through a collaborative and joined-up approach will a strategy be developed to truly recognise skill needs. More importantly, colleges, universities, and independent providers will need to implement these solutions to address the issues.
It is also recognised the need to build on the intelligence and information that is already available. Through this project, businesses, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs), local authorities, and local skills groups will work together to develop a skills improvement plan to increase productivity and prosperity in Kent by building on the abundance of available evidence.
