Startup Croydon, NEN partner, has been supporting Croydon start-ups and small businesses since 1983. They do this by encouraging, mentoring and connecting them to others in order to help grow their businesses.
The Startup Croydon team has been working closely with Carrie Rutherford, LSBU Croydon’s Business School Lead, and Richard Fenn, LSBU Croydon’s Campus Director, to explore potential partnerships.
LSBU’s new Croydon campus aims to transform lives, communities, businesses and society through applied education. They confirmed their collaboration based on a common vision of providing support to Croydon’s aspiring business owners and established businesses at all stages of their growth.
Startup Croydon will offer support and mentoring to early-stage businesses as a feeder to LSBU’s Business Support Centre, Solutionise, which currently provides student-led consultancy on business, legal, energy and digital issues to local enterprises.
Carrie Rutherford will also be joining Startup Croydon’s board as a Trustee, which will help the continuous evolution of their relationship and ensure that Croydon’s business community is supported and engaged through both their services.
